Does CO₂ laser hurt?

What you feel will depend on the area being treated, treatment intensity and your individual sensitivity. Some people describe heat, prickling or a stinging sensation during treatment.

Afterwards, the skin can feel warm and sensitive - often compared to a strong sunburn.


What happens after CO₂ laser?

This is not a lunchtime facial, and we think it’s important to be transparent about that.

Because fractional CO₂ laser intentionally triggers a controlled healing response, you should expect some downtime.

Immediately after treatment, the skin may look red and feel hot or sensitive. Swelling can occur, particularly during the first few days.

As healing progresses, the skin may feel dry, tight or rough and can begin to flake or peel.

The exact recovery period varies depending on the intensity of treatment, the area treated and your individual healing response. More intensive ablative resurfacing can require considerably more recovery than lighter fractional treatments.

Following your aftercare instructions is extremely important.

And yes — SPF becomes absolutely non-negotiable.

Freshly treated skin is particularly vulnerable to UV exposure, so careful sun protection is essential during recovery and afterwards.



When will I see results?

Some improvements become noticeable once the initial healing period has passed, particularly in the overall appearance and texture of the skin.

But CO₂ laser isn't only about what happens during those first few days.
